Welcome to Falcon Inka Eco Lodge, the premier eco-lodge in the Machu Picchu vicinity. We are located 6.5 kilometers from Machu Picchu within the basin of the Salkantay River, at an altitude of 1,800m, equal to that of the nearest village, Santa Teresa/ Huacquiña (1 kilometer away). At our lodge we have weaved together elements of culture, ecology, history, adventure and comfort to create an experience that makes our guests feel like they are Inka royalty, resting from their excursion through Machu Picchu's neighboring mountain villages.
Our eco-lodge was constructed by workers from Santa Teresa from local natural materials in the style of our Inka ancestors, who inhabited these mountains in settlements such as Machupicchu. It is on the site of a traditionally managed farmstead and family home where crops have been cultivated on step terraces for centuries. Original Inka artifacts and tools have been discovered on the property during the construction of the lodge, and during your stay you will be able to see original "tired stones" or partially carved construction boulders that were left behind by the Inkas as they fled to escape the Spanish conquistadors. Great care has been taken to keep within the original layout and prevent unnecessary environmental impact.
The lodge offers a range of facilities to help make your stay memorable, including a covered terrace lounge from which you can enjoy mountain views and sunsets from the comfort of a hammock. We also provide camping space, an “Inka Bar”, a lounge with chimney, a well equipped kitchen, mosquito nets for every bed and a solar hot water tank for showers, washing etc.

For your convenience and comfort, the lodge provides: bus service, mule drivers, mules, saddled horses, local information of cultural and archaeological interest and alternative routes, away from the well trodden, more established trails.
